Life Coaching
Simply put, life coaching involves working with a trained Coach (hopefully me!), experienced in creating a safe, encouraging and confidential environment where, through skilled questioning and dialogue, and a variety of coaching tools and techniques, you are able to learn more about yourself to start with, and then looking at your needs and desires for the short term and long term.
It is also a safe and nurturing, supportive space where you can try out new ways of being, test out any theories, complete exercises etc.
Depending on your reason for wanting to hire a Coach, typically Coaches can help with the following and more:
- Helping you get clear on identifying, clarifying and creating a compelling vision for your future
- Helping you to learn more about yourself; identifying things which might be getting in your way for example any self-limiting beliefs and putting in place new, more supportive beliefs
- Building tangible, well thought out goals and plans to fit with your new vision for your future
Sometimes people come to Coaching with no clear idea of what they want their outcomes to be but just feeling a vague sense of dissatisfaction and need help in discovering why they are feeling this way.
A Coach will again use questioning skills, dialogue and Coaching tools to help uncover why this is and then help them build an Action Plan.
At times, it can be about changing any limiting beliefs which you may have acquired over the years to finally discover who YOU really are at your core, underneath other peoples’ beliefs or judgements of who they think you are.
You’re in good company when you choose a coach
If you look at any great athlete, or celebrity, you will often find that most have coaches who help them not only get to the top of their physical game but also help them to build their greatest Mindset so that they are winning mentally as well as physically.
Celebrities who credit a great deal of their success to working with a Life Coach
Oprah Winfrey credits much of her success to her life coach, Martha Beck and Oprah is a major advocate for life coaching.
Leonardo DiCaprio has worked with Tony Robbins as have numerous celebrities including Bill Clinton, Hugh Jackman and Serena Williams.
Metallica, the famous band, engaged the help of a life coach when they found themselves feuding all the time and she helped them to align themselves to a common goal and harmony.
Andre Agassi gave all of his credit to working with a life coach.
Magical Transformations
Whilst Life Coaching may not be magic in itself, you can certainly achieve Magical results, transformations, IF you are willing to do things differently, to challenge yourself, to put in the work required.
Sadly all of the clicking of the heels, the rubbing of the lamp, wishing on a dandelion etc wont get you to where you want to go unless you are prepared to make the required effort. The transformational work is what will get you to your Dreams. And as Walt Disney once said, "If you can Dream it, you can Do it" ……….
So, you may come to life coaching having a very clear idea of where you are headed and just need some additional guidance and support or you may have no idea what you want and just be experiencing a lack of enthusiasm, or a loss of your normal Sparkle!
